Käseglück is a cheese shop selling raw milk cheeses, cheese accompaniments, wines, and spirits. My favorite from this shop is “Le Saveur du Maquis”, a Corsican sheep’s milk cheese covered with aromatic herbs and topped with a couple of bird hot chile peppers.
The owner, a “Fromelière”, is friendly, helpful and always gives good recommendations. You can order cheese by email, for instance, a cheese platter (wooden board included or not) or a cheese fondue (the cheese can be shredded on request). What they also offer, but that I have not yet tried, are events (cheese tastings, workshops to learn how to make your own cheese) and wedding cakes made of cheese.
Käseglück is an 8-minute walk from the Cologne Dellbrück train station, which is 14 minutes by train from Cologne Central Station (S11). While you are in Köln Dellbrück, you can also have a walk in the Natural Reserve Dellbrücker Heide, or have dinner in the family-run restaurant Knippschild Werk 2.
