Arnavutköy is known for the long boardwalk by the bosphorus, fancy fish restaurants by the sea and the narrow streets behind them that are worth wandering around. There are more than 10 luxury fish restaurants and each one of them have their own regular customers for a reason. For the last couple of months I am a regular to the Atlas Balık (fish) and I’m pretty satisfied.

First, it is level with the sea and has a great view of Bosphorus Bridge. You can watch the changing colors of the bridge while enjoying your dinner.

Atlas Balık aims to differentiate itself with the exceptional service. The staff is knowledgeable about the food and wine and most of them speak decent English. Also the owners are always there to take care of the customers.

I can suggest their salad that is made of tomatoes and cooked onions, however it tastes like more than it suggests when dressed with the sauces.

As for the cold starters, ask the waiter what they have special for that day. I had cold fish with pesto sauce and it was amazing. All classic cold starters are fresh and well made.

As for the hot starters, again they serve different specialties every day. Some of the good appetizers include trials of the classic kebabs made with fish instead of lamb meat, strongly recommended.

Atlas balık also has a considerable good wine menu which is not the cheapest :).
