Best craft beer in Ljubljana
Let me ask you this: do you honestly believe that Heineken and Carlsberg are decent beers? If you do, you'll be in over your head when you consider having a drink at Lajbah.
Visiting this pub counts as an exceptional local beer experience. Do remember, when you walk through their front door, that this is not just another pub with a great summer terrace. They are in a 'craft-drafts-league' of their own, with approximately 23 different beers on tap at all times. So, do not enter Lajbah just so that you can order a coke and ask for the Wi-Fi access code.
As you order your brew at the bar, the merry helpers of Lajbah will gladly assist you. Navigating through their extensive list of craft beers, which is located above the beer taps, isn't as easy as you might think. You might even pick up a few things about the listed draft beers because the people attending to your 'beer needs' have an encyclopedic knowledge of what they serve. Ask for a small sample to taste the beer if you aren't thoroughly convinced about possible suggestions.
Besides beer, they also serve delicious food. The Lajbah menu changes every now and then, just like the beers on tap, but my all-time favorite is their 'Friday lunch curry bowl'.
Either way, don't take my word for it. Go, check it out for yourself. Enjoy the ten-minute picturesque stroll, from the three bridges in the city center, alongside the Ljubljanica river.
