Farm markets or vegetable, fruit and other goodies markets are popular places to buy all previously mentioned items. It is not only a great choice for many different things but a good place to meet friends and have a coffee or lunch in between.
There is a lot to explore here, all the colours, smells, tastes... but also magnificent building in two parts, stretching from the Triple Bridge to the Dragon Bridge and was made by our greatest architect Jože Plečnik (Check out also this article on his house.) Don't see it only from the outside, you should definitely enter it as well.
Amidst all these things occupying your senses, turn your eyes to the canopies of trees growing on the otherwise paved Vodnikov trg Square above the vendors. You can notice 10 to 30 cm long thorns growing from the trunks of those honey locust or even thorny honey locust trees which are otherwise native to North America. These thorns helped it defend against animals like mammoths in the ice age.
