"Bosco de Lobos, Italian food in a garden, in the heart of Madrid. Bosco is a bar, terrace, work and meeting place, it's brunch or a weekend picnic." That is how they describe themselves but they forgot the main thing: its location.
Bosco de Lobos is located inside the garden of the Architects School, and it fits perfectly with the spirits of the modern building. The high ceilings and wooden materials conforms this contemporary and industrial "bosco" (forest). My favourite section of the restaurant is the library surrounded by books and glasses overlooking the garden. They give you the menu in drawing folders and there is a big luxo on each table, it is all an homage to the profession.
But, what about the food? I will just say that when in an Italian restaurant they offer me a big block of Parmesan with a grater I know that nothing can go wrong. Besides the classics pizza and pasta, they have delicious salads, carpaccios, bruschettas and risottos.
My tip: call before and reserve your place at the library, the experience is worth it.
