A taste of China in Podgorica
Shanghai Fast Food Restaurant is one of my favorite eateries in town, as I regard myself as a huge fan of East Asian cuisines. It used to be an elegant and lavish restaurant, but now it has concentrated more on delivering fresh, hot and spicy food all the way to your doorstep.
The choice to switch from a fine dining restaurant to a fast food equivalent was well thought out, as more locals could finally taste the unmatched taste of well and exotically seasoned food. As it turns out, Montenegrins are getting used to the palate sensations caused by soy sauce on noodles, meat and vegetables, but my all-time favorite dish is chicken noodles with grilled vegetables. Chopsticks are also available.
The menu consists of noodles, accompanied by various meats or only grilled vegetables, spicy and sour soups, Sichuan specialties, dumplings, spring rolls, and extravagant desserts such as stir-fried ice cream and grilled bananas. Even though the prices are a bit higher than average, the taste and portion sizes are well worth it!
