Skaline is maybe the most beautiful part of Podgorica. Unfortunately, in spite of its potential, this place is not a big tourist spot. Also, not many local people remember that a series of historical events happened in this area, but they still visit it a lot.
The Turks used to have a fortress that functioned as a city here. It is believed that the founder of the Nemanjić dynasty was born there. The Romans and Illyrians were present, too. There is a hidden memorial plaque that proves the existence of a radio-telegraph station erected by the French during World War I.
Even if you are not interested in all this, this place can still be beautiful, with the small stone bridge and amazing sunset. In spring, you can always find the cool company of young people playing guitar and drinking beer; in summer there is a small bar and a lot of swimmers.
Anyway, if you want to take some rest and enjoy nature, this is a nice place to be.
