The City Hall of Valencia (Ajuntamento) is a majestic building in the square of the same name where the major city events take place.
The building’s two annexes are connected, combining the historic 18th-century "Teaching House" with a more recent 20th-century addition, which features the facade facing the plaza.
Inside, there is an elegant marble staircase, a ballroom, and the council meeting room. Housed within this noble building is the City History Museum, along with a stunning balcony that offers a beautiful view over Plaza Ajuntamento. Best of all, visitors can explore the City Hall, including the balcony, during working hours—and it’s completely free.
No need for advanced reservation or any other preparation, just enter and enjoy. I enjoyed the Ballroom's majestic interiors and the balcony's amazing view. The museum has a nice collection of paintings of how the city looked over its long history. Absolutely a "must-see".
