Valencia is famous for its ceramics: the National Museum of Ceramics in the beautiful Palacio del Marques de Dos Aguas, amazing ceramic boutiques in the city centre and Mercado Central — everything to inspire you to create your own masterpiece. I really enjoyed my masterclass with Yo, Salu and La Ceramica. Roberta is a very creative and supportive artist, sharing good vibes and inspiration all around.
We manually modelled clay and made organic pieces, such as platters, bowls, and kitchen utensils, which I regularly use at home now. The course took 4 hours in a studio, with a break to enjoy a table full of delicacies: finger foods, sandwiches, cake, and cava. Roberta is a great cook, by the way, and all the snacks were absolutely delicious.
The group of random participants was international; they appeared to be from five different countries. Roberta made the masterclass bilingual, sharing everything in both Spanish and English. Her friendly dog Bruno was also active in socializing. I really enjoyed both the process and the result, and I’m looking forward to continuing my ceramics experience with the upcoming classes in the park.
