Sometimes you just need options: how’s 238 for variety? La Casa Gelato is Vancouver’s queen of ice cream with almost as many flavors of ice cream as there are days in the year. And if that’s not enough, their pink walls have appeared on countless Instagram feeds, so you can snap some great pics before your ice cream melts (unless you finish eating it first).
Luckily your decision on which flavour to pick is made easier by friendly staff and multiple ice cream samples. The best flavour I’ve tried so far is Peach Bellini. It’s so good that I would even drop by on a cold day to treat myself to some. Note that they don’t accept credit cards, so you’ll want to have Canadian cash or a debit card handy.
La Casa Gelato is located in one of Vancouver’s oldest neighborhoods. If you venture out to explore the area, you’ll find some beautiful heritage homes, many of which have been beautifully restored to their former glory by their loving owners.
