Call me crazy, but whenever I visit a big city I keep an eye out for trendy hair salons. I always wonder what it'd be like to get a haircut during my holiday. A relaxing afternoon before hitting the bars or clubs at my holiday destination. Or just returning home from the holidays with a new look... I cannot imagine I'm the only one who thinks this. So when I arrived at Dtox hair salon, I just knew it deserved a recommendation on this blog.
First of all, the salon is based in the upcoming neighbourhood of Raval. In an old 50s building on a typical skater square you'll find this hipster place. Don't be put off by the outside; once you enter Dtox you'll find yourself in a lush and beautiful salon! It has a trendy design with vintage furniture and a raw, industrial look. I felt like I was in the middle of cosmopolitan New York rather than Barcelona. They hold expositions as well so if you're done admiring the design, you can start with the art!
But the best part of it is that you're in the good hands of Carolina or Jesús. They really made me feel relaxed, really took their time and spoiled me with amazing smelling natural hair products during the treatment. I left the place feeling like a princess; spoiled and relaxed.
Don't worry; you can safely pass by and spoil yourself with a Dtox hair cut, because they speak English as well!
