La Porca is a sandwich bar based in a calm street around the neighborhood of Poble Sec that's specialized in tapas, sandwiches and amazing burgers. Most of their dishes share a main ingredient: high-quality pork meat cooked for a duration of four hours! However, vegetarians will also find salads and other delicious sandwiches and tapas without meat.
I really recommend La Porca for a dinner out with friends. I always prefer to start sharing some of their “tapas” and continue with a sandwich. The croquetas, patatas bravas “La Porca” and the Russian salad are the best starters. However, my favourite sandwich is the “Burger Triple Porca” sandwich, which has bacon jam, roasted pork mayonnaise, raclette cheese and crispy cured bacon, all in a brioche bread. Nothing goes better with this than a “Morro Fi” Vermut -- just saying!
If after all these goodies, you still have some room for dessert, try the Bacon Cookie Ice-cream and then you will have had a complete La Porca experience!
