I am sure many of you agree with me when I say that being in big touristic spots can get overwhelming sometimes. There are just too many people and it can make the experience unenjoyable. But I don't think it is reason enough to not see these places, you just have to get creative.
Now, all my friends know I am obsessed with Sagrada Familia, not just because of its history and what it represents, but also because it just makes me feel calm when I'm walking by and I see it. After living in the neighbourhood for a while, I found the perfect spot to enjoy its views.
The hotel Ayre Rosello has a rooftop bar with the most amazing views of Sagrada Familia. The only catch is that you cannot just go, you have to book beforehand, but you can do so on their webpage. They offer a good variety of drinks and food and the prices are cheap compared to other rooftops in Barcelona. I usually prefer going there during the day but the lights at night are beautiful too.
