Rather inconspicuous, Next Apache hides on Panenská street – one of those quiet Old Town streets, out of the tourist radar. But once you find out about this place, you will regret you hadn't sooner. To bring you the taste of Next Apache, let’s imagine a small, cozy pub, with rather oldish looking furniture and an astonishing amount of books and… well, some more books. Really, Next Apache might easily be the most book-equipped place around to have a beer in.
On top of it, when I skimmed through the books, I found out that for the most part the place is stacked with pieces of classical literature, hence the books represent certain literary quality, not just a fancy decor. However, it's not just the sort of obscure, bookish interior that is worth mentioning, for at the back of Next Apache there’s a nice garden, perfect for sunny days and refreshing drinks. The cool, rather dim indoors is crammed with books. The contract with the sunny and bright outdoors make this place fit for every occasion when it comes to having a drink. Or two.
Lastly, Next Apache was founded by a Canadian owner and used to serve as a get-together place for expats in Bratislava, although these days locals are more prevalent. Having said that, not all foreign customers are gone - fortunately, it still keeps its sort of international flavour and overall great atmosphere.
