Cottier's is a good alternative to the busy (and often crowded) pubs and restaurants in the heart of the West End. It's worth making the ten-minute walk from Byres Road for a more relaxing drink and bite to eat in this beautiful restored church.
The bar menu includes snacks and meals with a Mexican flavour including nachos, stuffed Jalapeño peppers and chili as well as quality fish and chips and burgers. For something different, try their steamed mussels in tequila. They do a special offer on Fajitas for a very reasonable £ 4.95 on weekdays, 12:00 - 20:00. Food is served in the bar from 12:00 - 22:00 daily. A range of international cuisine is served in the restaurant upstairs with particular emphasis on dishes from South American.
The bar is very child-friendly (there's a separate menu for children) and is a good place to visit all year-round. In the colder months, there's always a big fire roaring in the grate and in summer, there's a barbecue outside on the terrace every weekend, Glasgow weather permitting, of course!
