Glasgow Wake Park is a must-visit for all wakeboarding fans and not.
Wake Park is located in the city centre at the Clyde and Forth Canal. It's the first Scottish urban wake park. I discovered this activity through my University, they had a wakeboarding society and I started this new hobby during my last year of uni. The park is in one of my favourite areas of the city, and it's my go-to for walks near the canals or just as a chilling spot on weekends to watch some tricks on the water by some of the talented wakeboarders at the park.
The facilities are amazing and I was able to stand up on the board on my first lesson thanks to the amazing instructors. The picture is the proof, that's me on the board, sadly I fell in the water after this was taken!
This is a must-visit for anyone willing to try a new activity while exploring or for any locals like me who love wakeboarding. You can learn to wakeboard for £25 and trust me you are going to love it!
Make sure to book ahead online and info on how to hire the equipment and how to use the facilities in all safety!
"Pollok Park" is one of my favourite running spots in Glasgow. My favorite thing is coming on a sunny day and going Highland Cow spotting!

"Gie's Piece!" is for those of us who fancy a decent munch for lunch. The old folk in this cafe take their (huge choice of) sandwiches really seriously.

"The Stravaigin" Glasgow is my local "lucky place". Serving top-notch food and beverages amongst the best cocktails in the West End. The mojitos are class!

"Grosvenor Cinema" is a comfortable alternative to Glasgow's soulless multiplexes. The two small screening rooms have huge armchairs and lots of leg room!

The "Tea Rooms at The Botanics" Glasgow have a great terrace to sit outside. Anyone for tea, scones and cake? Yes please, how frightfully civilized!

"Vino Valentino" is a tiny wine bar tucked away off Byres Road in Glasgow. It's my perfect place for my partner or a group of friends as a pub alternative.

"Southside Roasters" Glasgow has the best coffee in the city. I know this is a pretty bold statement to make... I would also recommend their brownies!

"Starry Starry Night" Glasgow is one of those cluttered little treasure troves of a shop. It has clothes & costumes from every decade you can think of.

There's nothing particularly special about "The Belle Pub" Glasgow, with its lovely log fire, its dark corners and big bright people-watching windows...

The "Glasgow Women's Library" is in a beautifully restored building, open for anybody to read & discuss with a warm cup of tea or coffee. Plenty of events!

"The Sub Crawl" in Glasgow is a pub crawl but with one pub stop for each subway stop. That makes 15. Consider this a warning as well as a recommendation.

"The Berkeley Suite" in Glasgow is for you if you like your clubs small and intimate with a very friendly crowd. I have so many happy memories of it!
