After much anticipation, I finally got to try this great little spot. First impressions are important and Singl-End gave me good vibes from beginning to end (pardon the pun). The staff were so lovely and welcoming - I appreciate friendly people especially when it seems natural. The decor was interesting and fun, with seemingly random bits & bobs scattered around the tables. It works in an unconventional and Scottish way.
Singl-End is all about brunch: saying that, I visited late afternoon but it was just what I wanted. It has a good variation between meat & veggie options so everyone will find something! The smoothies and coffees are great but I have to tip my foodie-loving hat to the bakery. There are fresh, unique breads to choose from as well as a plethora of cakes and tartlets to satisfy your sweet-cravings. My will power disappears at the sight of chocolate.
It's a little way out from the city centre but if you make the visit, the warm glow of fairy lights will guide you down to the promise of delicious food and a lovely experience.
