The main question was "which place would you recommend for seafood if you had to choose only one?" The answer was easy: Ormos Afroditis.
For the last many years, Mr Kostas from Crete and his nephew have been running this very small "kafeneio" (the Greek way to describe a small restaurant) that serves big amounts of food next to the coastline of Peiraiki (check out the article).
The whole area is full of seafood/fish restaurants, so what is it that makes me feel like writing about this place? For sure their big amount of food -- especially if you order "saganaki "(fried cheese), they bring you not only one but four small "saganakia".
Its speciality is shrimps - a plate full of shrimps for 4 people will cost you 30€, but it's worth it!
The other reason I prefer it is that the decoration is simple: it's not stylish at all, and it's like you are in the 80s. The beers are always cold and the raki is always good, as Mr. Kostas brings it directly from Crete.
Last but not least, it has very special views to the sea and also Aegina island. After my lunch/dinner, I always enjoy a walk at the bay just across the street where you'll find the "Association of Fishermen of Saint Nicolas".
Enjoy!
