When I first came to Milan I had the strong impression there might only be a few easy-going places to hang out with friends and have a good time, but when I discovered this place I gladly had to change my mind. Let's be clear, only during spring, summer and autumn is it packed with people and colors and movements and music and weird local people going around and reviving the atmosphere, but still it is a decent length of time to fully enjoy it.
It's surrounded by pubs, bars and restaurants and what people usually do is go there to sit and grab a beer at a bar or even bring their own bottles, guitars, books, voices and good mood from home, sit on the ground and become part of the words concert that is audible from far far away.
It's a really 'involving' kind of place to gather and meet random people and this is why I used to go there with my friends when I was at Uni. Even just to enter in a, what I think to be, paradoxically isolating world made of young people sharing glances, thoughts, drinks and much much more. And the reason why I think it's isolating is that when I'm there all other things have disappeared because all my senses are too busy studying and receiving peculiarities around me. What is better than chilling and getting to know a city than absorbing the true culture its people spill all over?
