It's a grey, rainy winter day and I'm walking on the Main Street of Tampere. People are running around, just to go somewhere inside not to get wet from the pouring rain. Then there it is, Lie Mi Tampere restaurant, the Vietnamese heaven!
The restaurant itself is already welcoming you to step inside with the colourful decor and plants by the large windows. And then there is the staff of the restaurant: they truly welcome you in with big a smile on their face, even if it has been very busy during lunch hour. "Please take a seat" and there you are soon enjoying the delicious Vietnamese food.
My visit this time is for lunch. Monday through Friday, Lie Mi serves lunch that includes a curry, salad or Shanghai tacos, fried rice or noodles. The main ingredient varies, with beef, chicken, fish, shrimp or tofu. And I can tell you it's just delicious. It includes a large salad as a starter, as well as coffee or tea for dessert.
I have also visited Lie Mi for dinner. It's definitely a restaurant that is lively all day long. For dinner, there is a menu filled with authentic Vietnamese dishes. Vietnamese beer is available, too, and some good wines.
I can for sure recommend this restaurant for great lunch, or to spend time eating well with your friends. It's a place where you leave with a big smile on your face!
